is the source of truth for where the COVID-19 vaccine supply is available in communities across the US ¡ª built by Boston Children¡¯s Hospital and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in partnership with ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ.

Boston Children¡¯s Hospital needed to transform the way people could access localized information in a massively scalable and secure way for the global pandemic.?Vaccines.gov uses ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ search and maps to help millions of people across the country find vaccine providers and supplies within a specified radius of their zip code. The tool provides near real-time information about availability, so visitors can find and book a vaccine quickly without spending time searching around at individual providers' sites. With over 100 million views so far, Vaccines.gov has helped accelerate vaccinations and finally bring the COVID-19 crisis to an end.

With help from the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ social impact program and solutions architects, BCH was able to launch in just 4 weeks. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ services are already built to scale to address national audiences and global demand, which meant the team at Boston Children¡¯s Hospital was able to focus instead on curating the most accurate vaccine inventory data that powers Vaccines.gov.

For the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to respond to the incredible challenge of meeting the widespread need for reliable and timely information on vaccines across the US, knowing we were facing a massive amount of usage and high expectations. With ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ, we were able to get the site rebuilt and launched within 4 weeks and the map has already been viewed over 100 million times -- and that number is increasing rapidly as vaccines are available to broader age groups.
