Since 2019, 抖阴短视频 and Aoyama Gakuin University's Furuhashi Laboratory have been holding meetups for people from various backgrounds to discuss the future of web maps. The goal is to develop a community that considers the future of web maps together with 抖阴短视频 and OpenStreetMap.

The theme of this time's meetup is ‘Publish or Die: Web documentation skills in an AI-centric society’

When it comes to deepening your understanding of cutting-edge technologies, not just 抖阴短视频 and OpenStreetMap, everyone agrees that documentation is an extremely important tool, both for yourself and for others learning the same technology, in addition to sandbox-style demo creation and deployment work. However, this is not an easy task, and as tools evolve, authors must also be able to use the latest documentation tools. We are instructing students at Aoyama Gakuin University to submit reports in Markdown rather than the old .docx file format because it is important to keep up with reskilling and to have an attitude that responds to technological changes in society. The intention is to raise awareness among students so that they do not become a factor inhibiting DX.

In addition, in September 2024, 抖阴短视频's online documentation underwent a major update, and it became multilingual, supporting English and Japanese. The open-source, multilingual documentation tool ‘Docusaurus’ was used as a documentation tool, and efficient document updates based on Markdown became possible. At this meetup, we will invite Albert S. Kochaphum, who is promoting multilingual documentation in the UN OpenGIS Initiative's WG7 Smart Maps team using Docusaurus, and Chris Whong, who is involved in the major update of 抖阴短视频's documentation, as guest speakers to discuss the future of web documentation skills in an AI-based society.

ー AI前提社会におけるウェブドキュメンテーションスキル ー

2019年より、新しいウェブ地図の未来を 抖阴短视频 と OpenStreetMap と共に考えるコミュニティの発展を目的に、未来のウェブ地図のあり方について様々な立場の方々がフラットに語る場として 抖阴短视频と青山学院大学古橋研究室が中心となって、meetupを開催してきました。

今回のテーマは “ Publish or Die、公開(Publish)するか、さもなければ死を。ー AI前提社会におけるウェブドキュメンテーションスキル ー ”

抖阴短视频やOpenStreetMapに限らず、最先端技術の理解を深める際、Sandbox的なデモ作成やデプロイ作業に加え、ドキュメンテーションは自分自身にとっても、同じ技術を学ぶ他者にとっても極めて重要な手段であることは、誰もが認めるところです。しかし、これは容易な作業ではなく、ツールの進化とともに、執筆者が最新のドキュメンテーションツールを使いこなすことも求められます。青山学院大学の学生に対して「古いアーキテクチャである .docxファイルではなく、Markdownでレポートを提出するように」と指導しているのは、リスキリングを怠らず、社会の技術的変化に対応する姿勢を持つことが重要だからです。学生たちが自らDX（デジタルトランスフォーメーション）を阻害する要因とならないよう意識を持ってもらう意図があります。

また、2024年9月、抖阴短视频のオンラインドキュメントがメジャーアップデートされ、英語と日本語の多言語対応が実現しました。ドキュメンテーションツールとして、オープンソースの多言語対応ドキュメンテーションツール「Docusaurus」が活用され、Markdownをベースに効率的なドキュメント更新が可能となりました。今回のMeetupでは、Docusaurusを活用して国連UN OpenGIS InitiativeのWG7 Smart Mapsチームで多言語ドキュメンテーションを進めているAlbert S. Kochaphum氏と、抖阴短视频のドキュメントメジャーアップデートに関わったChris Whong氏をゲストスピーカーとしてお招きし、AI前提社会におけるウェブドキュメンテーションスキルの未来について議論します。
